Mornington Island

Mornington Island

Mornington Island has a population of 1200 and is a vibrant Indigenous community. Rich in cultural heritage, it is home to the Lardil people, who maintain strong connections to their land and traditions.

In September 2023, selectability took over management responsibility for Kuba Natha Hostel residential aged care facility; in the Lower Gulf.

Working closely with previous provider, Gidgee Healing during the transition period, and with endorsement from the Department of Health and Aged Care, the needs of residents and their families will continue to be provided for at the highest level.
