Danielle Hornsby

Chair

B. Speech Therapy, MBA (Marketing and Info Systems), AICD

Danielle is a seasoned health service executive who has a passion for driving innovation to improve health services in regional centres.

She currently leads the practice of some 700 allied health clinicians across the broader Townsville region, with a reputation and achievement record which has influenced rural health policy and practice nationally for over two decades.

She is a speech pathologist by background, holds a Master in Business Administration and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Tulha Aga

FRANZCP, RCPsych, MBBS

Dr Tulha Aga is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years' experience in healthcare across the UK and Australia. His interest is in community and rehabilitation psychiatry and he has worked extensively with CALD communities.

Tulha works clinically for Townsville University Hospital as Clinical Director responsible for Rural and Remote Psychiatry as well as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment and Engagement Service.

He is a Senior Lecturer with JCU College of Medicine and Dentistry and has held tutor positions in Healthcare Leadership and in Communication Skills.

Shawn Anderson

Dip. Financial Services, MBA (Global), GAICD.

Shawn brings over 20 years of experience in Financial Services to the Board and currently serves as the Chief Transformation Officer at Queensland Country Bank. Previously, he held the position of Chief Risk Officer for seven years and has occupied various other executive roles throughout his career.

Born and raised in Townsville, Shawn is passionate about fostering growth and development in regional Queensland.  Currently a committee member for Townsville Enterprises Finance, Audit and Risk Committee since 2018.

He holds a Diploma of Financial Services, a Master of Business Administration, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tricia Brand

B.Com JCU, FCPA, FAICD, FAIM

Tricia has extensive experience in senior executive roles managing portfolios comprising a range of corporate services including financial management.  She is committed to transforming service delivery to enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness through innovation.

Tricia is a born and bred North Queenslander and is passionate about serving the needs of the northern Queensland region and has just completed 12 years serving on the Finance Board of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.  She is also deeply committed to sustainability.  Tricia was employed at James Cook University as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Services and Resources. 

Tricia is a qualified accountant and holds post graduate qualifications in accounting and is a Fellow of CPA Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management.

Robert (Bob) James

CPA, BSocSc (Hons); MIndigSt (Hons) (Director since 2017)

Bob is a retired university lecturer, historian and accountant. He has a longterm concern for those with mental health issues and their families and carers. This interest was brought about by family exposure to mental ill health and suicide over the last two decades.

He joined the board of one of selectability’s founding organisations Mental Illness Fellowship NQ (MIFNQ) in 2004 and was President and Chair for many years

Karen Lenihan

MBA, BSocSc, GradCertMentalHealthPrac, RN.

Karen is the former Principal Official Visitor for New South Wales under the NSW Mental Health Act 2007. She held the position from 2016 to 2023.

With a background working as a clinician, educator, manager and executive director, she has broad working experience in health service delivery, organisational development and major change management.

Karen’s career is characterised by her work with fringe populations who experience high levels of social stigma and disadvantage. She is committed to quality service provision, is a strong advocate for social justice and believes in equity of access to the resources available in contemporary society.

Louise Prychidczuk

LLB Hons, B Com.

Louise Prychidczuk is a highly experienced lawyer and board director with over 20 years of experience in the legal industry. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from Griffith University and has been admitted to practice law in multiple jurisdictions.

Throughout her career, Louise has worked with a diverse range of clients, from individuals and small businesses to large corporations and government entities.

She has also had extensive experience working for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander legal services in criminal law. Louise started the first Homeless Persons Legal Clinic in Cairns.

Dr Clive Skarott AM

HonDUniv DipFinSvcs, FAICD, FAMI, JP (Qual.) (Director since 2019)

As well as his work for selectability, Clive is the Chair of JCU Dental and President of the Cairns Historical Society and Museum. Clive recently retired as Chair of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.  

Before joining our Board, Clive held the following positions - Chair of Ergon Energy; Director of Energy Queensland Ltd; Chair of the Cairns Port Authority; Director and Patron of Advance Cairns; Treasurer of the Regional Development Australia Committee (FNQ&TS); Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity Credit Union Ltd.

Outstanding Achievements - Distinguished Service Award (Australian Credit Union Industry - 2007); Australian Flag Bearer (World Credit Union Convention Hong Kong - 2008); Cairns Citizen of the Year (2011).

Debra commenced as CEO of selectability in February 2017 and has previously held CEO and executive management positions with Queensland Country Credit Union and Health Fund, 1300Smiles and Canegrowers Burdekin.

Her business management expertise has been recognised with the Qld Business Review Women in Business Award and the Queensland Telstra Business Women’s Award.

Debra has held board positions in numerous companies and is currently a Director of Townsville Hospital and Health Service, and until recently was a Director of North Queensland Primary Health Network and Deputy Chair of North and West Remote Health.

Aaron Farrell

I have worked in the disability sector for more than 15 years, with experience in operational management across both private, public and not-for-profit organisations. Throughout my career, I have developed particular expertise in community-based service delivery.

Jodie Woolcock

Chief Assurance Officer

I believe strong organisations are built deliberately through capable leadership, sound governance, disciplined stewardship and a culture of accountability.

As Chief Assurance Officer of selectability, I am passionate about building organisations that are worthy of the trust placed in them—where people are empowered to succeed, good governance supports better decisions, and strong systems enable organisations to fulfil their purpose and deliver meaningful outcomes for the people and communities they serve.

My career spans executive leadership across governance, finance, enterprise risk, assurance and organisational transformation. Before moving into executive leadership, I spent my early career in public practice, partnering with boards and executive teams across a diverse range of organisations. The opportunity to see organisations from both an advisory and leadership perspective continues to shape how I lead today.

I believe leadership is about building capability, creating clarity and leaving organisations stronger than we found them.

Matt Kinnane is a seasoned professional who has lived, worked and served North Queensland for more than 20 years. He has over a decade of experience in the finance sector and a deep understanding of financial management and analysis. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a strong financial acumen and a strategic mindset.

In addition to his extensive finance background, Matt has also dedicated seven years of his professional life to the social services sector, where he has made a significant impact in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. 

Matt Kinnane continues to be a driving force in championing the well-being and empowerment of individuals in regional Queensland.

I joined selectability in July 2023 as a business analyst and, in March 2024, stepped into the role of general manager, aged care.

In this role, I oversee the operations of selectability’s three residential aged care facilities in the Lower Gulf, as well as the day respite centre in Aurukun. I am committed to ensuring the older people in our care have access to high-quality, compassionate support that supports their wellbeing, dignity and independence.

I am passionate about working alongside local stakeholders to deliver services that are culturally safe, respectful and responsive to the unique needs and strengths of each community. Through a strong focus on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement, I am dedicated to ensuring our aged care services make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.

I have been with selectability for more than nine years, beginning my career as a lifestyle support worker. Through my experience across a variety of management roles, I have gained extensive knowledge of the NDIS and the important role it plays in supporting people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

In 2024, following a realignment of selectability’s management structure, I stepped into a new portfolio and now lead the organisation’s expansion into regional Queensland communities.

I am passionate about ensuring selectability’s services are flexible, accessible and responsive to the needs of the people and communities of regional, rural and remote Queensland.

Marissa Sherry

Marissa joined selectability’s executive team in May 2023 as General Manager – Regional Development of our western Queensland locations.

With more than 15 years of experience working across north west Queensland, Marissa has dedicated her career to the social and community services sector. Her background spans direct service delivery, community engagement, and leadership roles, giving her a deep understanding of the unique needs of regional and remote communities.

Passionate about suicide prevention, mental health, and wellbeing, Marissa is committed to strengthening support services that create safer, healthier communities. Much of her career has been spent in child protection, further reinforcing her dedication to ensuring safety and positive outcomes for individuals and families.

Marissa holds tertiary qualifications in social science and social welfare, along with postgraduate qualifications in management and leadership.

Sue-Ellen Weedon

GM Mackay Region

Meet Sue-Ellen, joining selectability in the role of regional coordinator, Charters Towers, in late 2023 she took up the challenge of the new regional coordinator position in Mackay, before moving into the position of General Manager Mackay.

As general manager, Sue-Ellen has an additional responsibility, overseeing operations in Bowen and Sarina. 

She has a wealth of knowledge and experience – holding various roles in the disability services sector including client service manager, program manager, team leader and disability employment consultant.

She has always been passionate helping people so working in the disability service sectors aligns perfectly with Sue-Ellen's personal values.
