Meet the team: Cat Pegoraro

16 August 2021

Cat Pegoraro started at selectability in late 2020 as a Consumer Care Officer. She loves working in the community, helping people to access the support and services they need so it’s no surprise that she applied for our newly created role of Carer Coordinator ... and was successful in securing the position!

Cat believes that the importance of the role that carers play is often overlooked, which means they miss out on the support and services they need to continue in their caring role.

“Caring for a loved one can be stressful, isolating and at times overwhelming so it’s important that we care about them, too!”

“I’m looking forward to working with carers across selectability's footprint to help them understand the services available to them and create support networks to help them stay connected with their peers.”

selectability is a delivery partner with the Carer Gateway program and through it we offers counselling, emergency and planned respite and Carer Coaching (the first group of in-house coaches has just been trained and this is being rolled out across our footprint).

As part of her new role, Cat will be regularly travelling around to all selectability sites to help carers and other services providers get a better understanding of the Carer Gateway.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Carer Gateway you can get in touch with Cat by emailing carergateway@selectability.com.au or visit our webpage HERE.
