Telehealth support

Our services are available via telehealth in all of the regions we deliver face-to-face support (above), plus:

We are setting up counselling rooms in our regional Mental Health Hubs so you can use our facilities to attend your appointment.

Accessing our services

We provide services via a range of referral pathways and in person and via telehealth.

Our practice administration team can talk you through your eligibility to help you determine the most suitable pathway into our services.

Carer Gateway (all regions)

We provide carers with FREE counselling as part of the federal government’s Carer Gateway initiative. To be eligible you will need to be providing unpaid care to someone, this could be a family member, friend or neighbour.

Referrals: You don't need a referral to access the counselling through the Carer Gateway.

Connect to wellbeing (Cairns, Ingham, Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Sarina and Moranbah)

If you have any concession card (pension, health card card, low income card etc) you are eligible for up to 16 FREE counselling sessions per calendar year under the Connect to Wellbeing program. You will require a mental health treatment plan from your GP.

Referrals: Your GP will need to send your mental health treatment plan to Connect to Wellbeing by fax to 1300 027 880. (Your GP can request that the referral is allocated to selectability).

EAP+ (all regions*)

selectability partners with organisations to deliver their employee assistance programs. Our EAP+ is designed to support and enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of an organisations employees.

We tailor contracts to include features that staff will utilise, and our services are all pay as you go, so organisations will not be charged until a service is provided.

*Referrals: To access counselling via our EAP+ the organisation you work for will need to be registered with selectability. If you are unsure you should check with your line manager or HR officer.

Mental health treatment plan / Medicare (all regions)

Speaking to your GP is an important first step when seeking help for your mental health. They will be able to work with you to develop a mental health treatment plan (previously known as a ‘mental health care plan) that entitles you to Medicare rebates for up to 10 appointments per calendar year.

Once you have developed your plan your GP will need to email your referral to clinical@selectability.com.au

NDIS (all regions)

selectability is an accredited NDIS service provider and can deliver counselling and therapeutic support as part of your NDIS plan.

We will work with you to help you achieve your NDIS goals.

Referrals: email clinical@selectability.com.au or complete the enquiry form above.

Private/full fee (all regions)

We accept self-referrals for private / full fee paying clients.

Please speak to the practice administration team about accessing these services.

Veterans & families (all regions)

We can provide support to Veteran Australian Defence Force Personnel and their families.

Referrals: please contact the practice administration team to discuss this option.

Workcover (all regions)

Our team can provide clinical services under your WorkCover claim.

Referral: you will need a GP referral to access this option.
