Meet the team: Ashlee Calicetto

11 July 2022

Meet Ashlee, our Mental Health Practice Team Leader based out of the selectability Mackay Wellbeing Practice (in The Dome).

Ashlee has held a wide variety of jobs – the majority of which were in hospitality – but knew this was not what she wanted to do long term.

“I completed a certificate III in business administration to acquire the relevant skills and knowledge I would need for an administration position,” said Ashlee.

“In February 2020 I was offered the reception role for the Mackay office – which included a little bit of clinical team (administration) work.”

For the Mackay local this little bit of “clinical team work” grew into a full time clinical services role transitioning over to Mental Health Practice Team Leader.

“Now I manage the clinical administration team and the more than 40 contracted mental health professionals we have across our expanding footprint.”

Ashlee’s day-to-day roles include onboarding new clinicians to deliver therapeutic services, managing intakes, referrals and general clinical enquiries and generating new program opportunities for clinical services.

“The best part about my job is being able to connect vulnerable people in our community to services in a timely manner. I am really proud to be a part of the growing clinical services team within selectability.”

“There will always be a need for the services we offer and deliver on a daily basis, and it feels great to have your work make a difference in the lives of others.”

When not at work Ashlee enjoys a range of creative outlets including singing, playing the guitar and photography and spending time with her children.
