Our clinical team
Our clinical services division incorporates a dedicated in-house team led by our GM Cairns and Clinical Services Ingrid Steed, a registered nurse with over 25 years’ experience leading health programs, combined with an external team of over 40 mental health professionals.

Who we help
We support private practitioners and deliver flexible, adaptive and widespread mental health services to achieve our purpose of improving the mental wellbeing of regional Queenslanders and contributing to the prevention of suicide.

Employee assistance programs
selectability partners with organisations to deliver employee assistances programs to support the the emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of employees. We offer services ranging from face-to-face counselling to critical incident response.
Our approach emphasises early intervention and includes a range of proactive preventative measures and strategies to build individual resilience to maximise workplace performance.
We provide coaching and advice for managers and supervisors to address employee and organisational challenges, conflict resolutions, needs and training.

Referrals are available through:
selectability is an accredited NDIS service provider and can deliver clinical mental health services as part of your NDIS plan.
Clinical services include counselling sessions or other psychological supports to help an individual achieve their goals. Whether you are self-managed or have a Support Coordinator, the best way to secure selectability services is to contact us via email.

Connect to wellbeing
If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health and have a Centrelink concession, please reach out to your GP for a referral to Connect to wellbeing.
This is a program available to individuals in the Cairns, Townsville and Mackay regions. It allows those eligible to receive up to 18 psychological sessions in a calendar year.
Referrals: GP to send to Connect to Wellbeing (Neami) by fax to 1300 027 880. GP can request that the referral be allocated to selectability.
Medicare / Mental Health Care Plan
If you are struggling with mental health please reach out to your GP. They can develop a mental health care plan for you which will provide for some Medicare rebates on the required care under your plan.

Our clinical services are available to carers as part of the Carer Gateway initiative.
Referrals: Referrals to selectabilty are through the Carer Gateway portal.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
WorkCover / Veterans & Families
Our team can provide clinical services as part of your WorkCover claim which can be referred to selectability by your GP. We can also provide support to Veteran Australian Defence Force Personnel and their families.
