Meet the team: Sue-Ellen Weedon

5 April 2022

Meet Sue-Ellen, our new Regional Coordinator based at our Charters Towers Mental Health Hub.

Sue-Ellen brings a wealth of experience – holding various roles in the disability services sector including client service manager, program manager, team leader and disability employment consultant.

“I have always been passionate helping people so working in the disability service sectors aligns perfectly with my personal values,” said Sue-Ellen.

In her day-to-day role as Regional Coordinator, Sue-Ellen will work with local stakeholders and consumers to ensure our services are in line with the diverse needs of the community.

“I am excited to be working alongside the Charters Towers team to support individuals and groups across the region.

“A big part of my role will be networking with stakeholders to increase awareness of selectability and ensure that people know how to access our services.”

Sue-Ellen, who has called Charters Towers home for the last 14 years, encourages others to get involved in the industry that she is so passionate about.

“Supporting people to work towards their goals and live the life they want is very rewarding and no two days are the same.

“Becoming a lifestyle support worker is a great way to enter the industry.”

When not at work Sue-Ellen enjoys spending time with her family and friends caravanning and camping in beautiful regional Queensland.
