Meet the team: Debra Fitzgerald
Meet Debra, our regional coordinator in Rockhampton. She joined selectability in October 2020 and in that time she has been instrumental in establishing the Rockhampton Mental Health Hub from the ground up.
Debra is passionate about breaking down the stigma that stops people from seeking help for mental health issues by changing perceptions and attitudes.
Her strong community networks and advocacy skills have ensured that key stakeholders and consumers are aware of selectability's services in Rockhampton and how to access them.
Debra has a unique set of skills in understanding people, their needs and objectives and formulating strategies to assist in finding the best version of themselves.
She believes that education is key to helping others in better managing their own mental health and draws on an individual’s personal strengths and resilience to support them to overcome adversity.
