Meet the team: Brooke Youse

21 August 2023

Meet Brooke – she has been working for selectability for the last 6 months, most recently taking on the role of support coordinator/psychosocial recovery coach in Bowen.

Driven and passionate, Brooke has a strong background in support work which gives her the necessary tools to support her consumers in reaching their goals.

In her role as support coordinator Brooke helps consumers better understand the NDIS, connect to the services they need to reach their goals and get the best value out of their plans.

For Brooke, her role is much more than that …

“It's hard to pick one thing that I love most about working at selectability,” said Brooke.

“The way everyone is so welcoming is refreshing, I appreciate the emphasis selectability puts on the mental wellbeing of employees and making sure we are filling ourselves up to provide the best care possible.”

Brooke has been moved to the Bowen region two years ago, swapping metropolitan cityscapes with sandy beaches and warmer weather, where she can indulge in her favourite hobbies.

“I have always enjoyed music and have my AMusA in piano and play cello.

“Now living in a small town by the beach, I love watching the sunset with friends while we enjoy some fish and chips.

“Likewise taking the 4x4s up the river and having a bonfire with some steaks and damper is another favourite.”

Whether it be through her hobbies or her role as a Support Coordinator, Brooke’s enthusiasm makes her a valuable asset to both her community and selectability.

“I have been so happy working for such an incredible organisation that values all the employees and consumers.”
