Meet the Team – Ashley Low
Meet Ashley! She has been working for selectability in Rockhampton for the last 2 and a half years.
As a consumer care officer, Ashley works across all programs in the Rockhampton region to ensure that our consumers have the best possible experience every time they deal with selectability.
“My role as the CCO at selectability is to empower individuals to build their confidence, work towards their goals and improve their mental wellbeing by helping resolve consumers issues where possible,” said Ashley.
“I also provide consumers with all information related to our services, document correspondence with consumers, including phone calls and emails, all while keeping relevant stakeholders updated on consumers requests.
Having grown up on a million-acre property in the Northern Territory, Ashley says that her understanding of the effects of social isolation are extensive.
With a strong passion for mental health in general, Ashley brings a strong sense of devotion to her role.
“Working in aged care previously, I noticed mental health was a very common denominator for most of their consumers.
“It is a humbling experience to be able to walk into someone having a bad day and leaving knowing you made a difference for the better.
“This led me to an LSW role in with selectability, back when selectability was relatively new to the area.
Through our career progression pathway and selectability Training, Ashley took on the role of consumer service officer and completed a certificate IV in Mental Health.
“After that I left for 8 weeks to try something new, however I really enjoyed my work with selectability and returned into the CCO role.
“I just love coming to work every day knowing I 'am making a difference in many people's lives.
There can be no mistake that Ashley leads a life of ultimate passion and determination wherever she goes.
Whether it be her life as a cattle grazier on a property one hour west of Rockhampton, raising her two children, or her unwavering commitment to her work at selectability.
It is that commitment that makes an asset to the Rockhampton team.
