Meet the team: Anna Powell

23 October 2023

Meet Anna! She has been working with selectability in Ingham as a team leader for the last 4 months.

Working previously in various finance roles, Anna now supports locals hands on by overseeing the delivery of programs and services that support the wellbeing of our consumers.

“As a team leader I work with my staff and consumers to ensure they achieve their goals and build independence,” said Anna.

“I love the challenges this job brings and enjoy working with my consumers and team to reach their full potential.

“The best part of my job is watching our consumers flourish into who they want to become and seeing how much independence they build knowing they have our support.”

Much like her colleagues, Anna’s unrelenting commitment to providing support is what makes her an asset not only to selectability, but to the wider Ingham community.

With that commitment is a burning passion to be a part of the driving force for positive change.

“Mental health has been something that has hit close to home for me and has had a significant impact on me and my family.

“I believe it is an important service for rural communities as I feel as though being rural makes it quite easy to fall through the gaps … and therefore easier to become socially isolated, and since support is just out of reach its easier to recluse.

“Access to services is a major barrier for many, therefore a service like selectability in a community like Ingham gives hope and support to those who have never had it previously.”

As selectability continues to deliver mental wellbeing and suicide prevention support to regional Queenslanders, employees like Anna fortify our commitment to communities like Ingham.

Beyond her role as a team leader, Anna’s infectious positivity and passion are the cornerstones that represent selectability’s values.
