Meet the team: Bryn Hicks

Introducing Bryn - he’s joined selectability 10 months ago as suicide prevention coordinator in Townsville.

More recently, Bryn has taken on the role of Program Manager for Suicide Prevention Queensland.

In his role, Bryn engages with community stakeholders to establish and develop suicide prevention programs across our footprint and identify any gaps in services.

“I am very passionate about suicide prevention, and selectability has been very supportive of that passion, especially when providing the opportunity to progress and learn on a daily basis,” Bryn said.

“The best part of the role is receiving feedback from community members that the work we are doing is helping people and saving lives.”

Born and raised in Sydney, Bryn spent a couple of years living in the UK and travelling around Europe.

Upon his return he studied at the Gold Coast and worked in business development for several years, eventually settling in Townsville.

Heading into his first year with selectability, Bryn is yet another example of selectability’s career progression pathway, and the role it plays in the passion of its employees.

Bryn’s enthusiasm and pride in his work is evident in his positive approach.
