Counsellor to the rescue ... a poem about selectability's clinical services

Counsellor to the rescue ... a poem about selectability's clinical services

17 May 2021

Depression and I go hand in hand,
Which may sound strange, if you don’t understand,
Just how crippling it can be
To someone’s whole identity.
Add in pain, and a caring role,
And all life’s burdens take their toll,
Over time to bring me down,
And turn my smile into a frown.
But I was lucky, as you will see,
Into my life entered Garry...
A caring angel in human form,
Who helped subdue my raging storm.
By releasing negative energy,
And bringing peace and harmony.
Patiently listening to all I say,
Helping me find a better way.
He works for Selectability,
In a counselling capacity,
His presence doesn’t go unseen,
For he’s a valuable member of their team
