Meet the Team: Lina Baker

For Rockhampton local Lina Baker, making a meaningful difference in the lives of others is more than a job—it’s a calling.

Born in the small town of Kingaroy and raised on a cattle farm surrounded by family, Lina has always had a strong sense of connection and community.

She brings this same passion for people into her role as a support coordinator at selectability, where she helps recipients navigate the NDIS and connect with the supports that best fit their goals and lifestyles.

“I’m the first point of contact for recipients,” said Lina.

“My role is all about helping people understand their NDIS plan, connecting them with the right services, and supporting them to live their best lives.”

With 4 years’ experience as a disability support worker and a background in youth work, Lina knows first-hand the importance of person-centred, consistent care.

Her experience working with both verbal and non-verbal clients has shaped her approach to support, one that values individuality, independence, and empowerment.

“I love seeing people reach their goals.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to play a part in someone’s journey and to see them grow in confidence and find their place in the community.”

Backed by selectability’s supportive team culture, Lina is excited to continue building relationships and create lasting impact.

Whether she’s coordinating services or providing reassurance, Lina’s goal remains the same: to ensure every recipient feels supported, heard, and set up to thrive.

When she’s not working, Lina enjoys getting outdoors.

From climbing, hiking, caving, or just spending time with her family and friends.

With selectability’s recently launched ‘Support that fits YOU’ campaign, Lina is helping NDIS recipients across Rockhampton explore, connect and achieve independence—on their terms.
