If you’re 15 or older and looking to dive into the exciting world of hospitality … We’ve got the perfect opportunity for YOU!
This is your chance to get the skills that will make employers take notice. Whether you're looking to serve up delicious coffee or provide great customer service... we’ve got you covered.

The program is currently available in: 

Bowen | Charters Towers | Doomadgee | Ingham | Longreach | Mackay | Moranbah | Mornington Island | Mount Isa | Normanton | Palm Island | Rockhampton | Townsville

Duration: 15 weeks 
Time investment: 4 days a week | 4 hours a day
Cost: no out-of-pocket expenses for participants

What's in it for you? 
  • nationally accredited Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10222)
  • barista training
  • no out-of-pocket expenses
  • free transport and lunch

 To be eligible for the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program you must:

  • be a Queensland resident
  • be an Australian citizen or permanently residing in Australia or temporarily residing in Australia with relevant visa
  • be working 15 hours or less/unemployed (targeted towards disadvantaged jobseekers or underutilised workers)

Note this program is not available to selectability employees.
