selectability launches aged care services in Aurukun
selectability has officially launched its aged care service in Aurukun, marking the occasion yesterday in a community event at the Chivaree centre.
From July 2, selectability took over management responsibility of centred based aged care service from Aurukun Shire Council, providing care to more than 40 recipients in the region.
CEO Debra Burden attended, along with selectability Board Chair Danielle Hornsby, Mayor of Aurukun Shire Council Barbara Bandicootcha, CEO Jack Dempsey, QLD State Manager for Ageing Australia Ian Poalses, selectability General Manager Aged Care Dellita Dios, recipients, employees and community members.
“selectability is honoured to take on this responsibility and we look forward to working closely with the Aurukun community to support Elders with dignity and cultural understanding,” said CEO Debra Burden.
“Our team will ensure the care for Elders remains centred on compassionate, culturally safe, and high-quality.”
