We are one of the region’s largest and leading providers of NDIS mental health services and we partner with state and federal governments to deliver vital mental wellbeing programs along with support for carers. 

Our head office is based in Townsville and our footprint extends north to Cairns, south to Rockhampton, east to Palm Island and west to Mount Isa.

About the role

The Quality, Compliance and Risk Manager, is responsible for the quality of service delivery, leading accreditation and risk management for the selectability Group. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, has no direct reports and will be responsible for working with staff across the selectability footprint.

The role is full-time and can be based in Townsville (preferred), Cairns or Mackay.

Main duties

The Quality, Compliance and Risk Manager’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • ensuring organisational policies and procedures are compliant with all current accreditations
  • leading accreditation activities with external auditors
  • undertaking and reporting on regular internal audits
  • identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • researching compliance and/or service quality areas
  • developing and implementing process improvements in accordance with compliance requirements
  • writing policies, procedures and reports as required
  • undertaking risk assessments at an organisational level
  • managing and maintaining selectability’s relevant frameworks and registers
  • ensuring currency of the RTOs training and assessment strategies
  • ensuring RTO procedures are in accordance with ASQA standards
  • supporting activities relating to tendering opportunities, including developing the written submission and presentation to stakeholders
  • project management as required

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you MUST:

  • currently live in Australia
  • have experience in leading accreditation, it is highly desirable to have experience in accreditation for NDIS, Human Services Quality Framework and National Standards for Mental Health Services 
  • be available to travel across the selectability footprint from time to time
  • have experience in writing policies, procedures and report
  • be able to work within a cross-functional and multi-discipline team
  • have persuasive writing and excellent presentation skills
  • have strong business acumen

Note: experience in aged care accreditation, working in the mental health sector and working knowledge of RTO compliance would be highly regarded

You will also need

  • current drivers licence
  • a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Working with Children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain before you start
  • Yellow Card Exemption, or NDIS Worker Screen, or the ability to obtain before you start
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module “Quality, Safety & You” completion certificate

Note: COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory condition of employment for this position Proof of vaccination will be required before you start.
