Psychosocial Recovery Coach (BURDEKIN)

selectability is seeking a casual Psychosocial Recovery Coach. As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach you will work collaboratively with participants, stakeholders and other service providers to design, plan, implement and review a recovery plan for consumers with psychosocial disability.

Main duties

The Psychosocial Recovery Coach’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and empower participants to make their own choices about how they want to lead their lives.
  • Coordinate a variety of services for participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.
  • Holistic recovery-oriented approach.
  • Work with participants to strengthen their ability to coordinate their supports to live their best life.
  • Coaching consumers to increase recovery skills and personal capacity skills; including motivation, strengths, resilience and decision making.
  • Collaborate with broader systems of supports to ensure supports are recovery orientated.

About you

  • a minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health and/or 2 years paid experience in support work is essential
  • a working knowledge of the NDIS
  • excellent communication skills
  • a commitment to best practice
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • ability to quickly and effectively engage with consumers
  • the ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
  • a positive notice Working with Children (Blue Card)
  • Yellow Card Exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance 
  • COVID-19 Vaccination
  • current drivers' drivers licence (minimum P2)
  • roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate
