Mental Health Respite: Carer Support
Mental health respite: carer support (MHR:CS)
selectability's Mental Health Respite: Carer Support (MHR:CS) program assists carers of people with severe mental illness, and their families, to continue in their caring roles, improve their health and wellbeing and participate socially and economically in the community.
We know from experience that the role of a mental health carer differs from other types of caring and brings with it unique challenges.
Our approach is holistic and tailored to the individual needs of the carer. selectability’s Lifestyle Support Workers will support the person you are caring for in your home or to access social and recreational activities to allow you to focus on your own wellbeing.
During this time we can also work with your loved one to test their eligibility for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and access a plan of their choice.
