The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Business Wellbeing Service is designed to provide mental health support to small business operators as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

The service is completely free and provided by selectability, a not-for-profit, community mental wellbeing and suicide prevention service supporting the people and communities of northern, central and western Queensland.

The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Business Wellbeing Service is now available to provide mental health support to small business operators.

COVID-19 has created many pressures for small business owners across our region. Through the BHP Vital Resources Fund, small business owners can now access free sessions with a clinical psychologist.

This service is open to small business owners based in the Mackay Isaac Whitsunday region and is a completely confidential service. Once you call the hotline or register via the website you will be connected with a psychologist within 24-48 hours.

The MIW Business Wellbeing Service will support the following areas:
  • Adjustment disorders
  • Anxiety disorder such as panic disorder, health anxiety, and generalised worries
  • Depression and low mood
  • Relationship counselling
  • Marriage counselling
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Grief and loss
  • Insomnia and sleep issues
  • Parenting support
  • Self-esteem and self-worth issues
