Meet the team: Taegan Andrews

In the heart of Far North Queensland, Team Leader Service Delivery Taegan Andrews is helping ensure recipients in the Cairns region receive high-quality, person-centred support every day. 

Taegan joined selectability six months ago and has quickly become a steady and supportive presence for her team.  

In her role, she leads employees to deliver the highest quality of care for recipients, ensuring it remains consistent, safe and aligned with individual goals. 

“As a team leader, I guide and support my team in providing high quality first line support to recipients in the Cairns region,” said Taegan. 

Her passion for the sector began years ago when she volunteered with a weekend social group, a decision that sparked a long-term commitment to the NDIS and community support. 

“That was something I found to be inspiring and rewarding.” 

Since 2019, Taegan has worked in a range of NDIS support roles, strengthening her understanding of person-centred practice and the impact that compassionate care can have on someone’s life.  

That experience continues to guide her leadership today. 

“I love working closely with my team and the people we support and hearing about the positive impact our services have in people’s day to day life. 

For Taegan, one of the most important lessons from her role has been the value of a strong and supported team. 

“That a team that feels supported delivers the best results.” 

“Working in this sector can be challenging as we support some of the most vulnerable people in our community, but there is always opportunity to make a positive difference.” 

Outside of work, Taegan embraces the beauty of Far North Queensland. Weekends are spent with her family exploring the rainforest, mountains and secluded beaches that make the region so unique. 

“I grew up in Far North Queensland and really love living here.” 

With a calm, authentic approach to leadership, Taegan brings both experience and empathy to her role.  

Her focus on teamwork and wellbeing aligns strongly with selectability’s commitment to safe, quality care across regional Queensland.
