Meet the team: Kass N

Based in Ingham, Kass plays an important role in supporting selectability’s work in the local community, helping ensure recipients and employees are connected to the right support at the right time. 

As a support and scheduling officer, Kass works closely with teams, recipients and community members, providing the coordination and administrative support that allows services to run smoothly.

By keeping communication strong and systems organised behind the scenes, recipients are well supported with reliable care.

Born and raised in Ingham, Kass spent time living and working across Townsville, South Australia and Victoria before returning to the region at the end of 2022. That journey has given her a strong appreciation for community connection and the importance of reliable local support. 

In her role, Kass coordinates schedules and provides administrative support that underpins service delivery.

While much of the work happens out of sight, its impact is felt across the wide range of services delivered to the region.

“What I love most about working at selectability is being part of a team that genuinely cares about people,” said Kass. 

“In my role, I get to support both staff and recipients by making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.” 

Kass brings a diverse professional background to the role, with experience across hospitality, retail and administration. Since moving into administration in 2019, she has developed strong organisational skills and a calm, adaptable approach that suits the fast-paced nature of service coordination. 

“Knowing that my work helps others deliver meaningful support is incredibly rewarding.

“I was drawn to this sector because I’ve always wanted to be part of work that genuinely improves people’s lives.

Since joining selectability, Kass has gained a deeper understanding of how important flexibility and responsiveness are in ensuring services meet changing needs. 

“Every day brings new challenges, and being able to adjust quickly while staying calm and organised has been essential,” she said.

For those considering a career in the sector, Kass believes being open to learning is key.

“Be prepared to learn, adapt, and grow … This sector is incredibly rewarding, but it also requires patience, empathy, and resilience.”

Outside of work, Kass is very family-orientated and enjoys spending time in the kitchen, cooking meals to share with the people who matter most to her.

Through her work in Ingham, Kass continues to play an important role in supporting teams and ensuring recipients receive the consistent, reliable support they deserve.
