Lifestyle Support Worker SIL Services - TSV

We are currently seeking passionate and skilled Lifestyle Support Workers to join our supported independent  team. As a Lifestyle Support Worker you will assist consumers with daily tasks and activities to build life skills and connect with the Townsville community.

No two days will ever be the same when you are providing support to our consumers. You will be providing a variety of support that includes:

  • Assisting and teaching consumers  with household chores
  • Accessing the community to assist our clients in building confidence
  • Mentoring consumers on appropriate behaviors
  • Supporting consumers in learning life skills

About you

We are looking for motivated applicants who have great flexibility. For our SIL Team - working over a 24/7 roster. including shift work, regular sleepovers and weekend work may be required


Qualifications & Experience 

  • A working knowledge of the NDIS (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with disability and/or mental health (Desirable but not essential)
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain before you start)

You will also need 

  • Current drivers license (minimum P2)
  • A roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
  • Current Blue card with Yellow Card exemption
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check if Yellow card is not current
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate

NOTE: It is a mandatory condition of employment for this position to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required prior to commencing.
