Social and recreational activities play an important part of maintaining and improving your mental wellbeing. They encourage you to connect and engage with your community, meet new people and learn new skills or hobbies.
selectability offers inclusive group supports designed to increase social participation, develop new skills, build capacity and strengthen community connections in social and peer environments.
Our team regularly offers new and innovative activities while facilitating our traditional groups such as cooking, fishing, community gardening, meditation, computer skills to name a few.
selectability offers group supports and activities through our clubhouses in Townsville and Mackay and through community participation supports right across regional Queensland.
Activities can include:
- going to the movies
- ten pin bowling
- arts/crafts lessons or workshops
- group sport
- social outings
selectability acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we provide services and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge those with lived experience and those who support and partner with us to improve mental wellbeing and prevent suicide across regional Queensland.
