From NDIS plans to partnerships: networking for better recipient outcomes

Whether it’s connecting recipients with local services, guiding them through plan reviews, or helping navigate the system, support coordinators play a vital role in unlocking the full potential of NDIS plans.

To strengthen this essential work, selectability Rockhampton has been hosting regular networking events that bring together support coordinators and service providers to collaborate, share insights and build a more connected support community. 

selectability's Rockhampton regional coordinator, Joanne Leonard, said the events were a great way for local providers to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and explore new ways to deliver person-centred support across the region. 

“The monthly sessions are becoming really popular. It’s great to see such a diverse range of providers come together like this so we can collaborate and share ideas,” said Joanne. 

Held at the Rockhampton Mental Health Hub, the events reflect selectability’s ongoing commitment to community connection creating space for meaningful engagement and shared learning. 

“Our Hub has always been a place where people come together to support each other, whether that’s through our care services or community engagement. 

“Whether you’re a service provider or an individual in the industry looking to discover new services and build your network, we’re excited to see everyone come down.” 

Open to anyone working as a support coordinator, recovery coach, NDIS provider or with a government organisation, the free networking events offer a chance for the industry to come together and connect with others in the ever-changing world of the NDIS. 

selectability's November support coordination networking event will focus on getting to know some of the providers supporting locals to get the most out of their NDIS plans, valuing connection and care.
